WALKTEC SWH carborundum anti-slip strips
Safety and accident prevention are the foundation of the application of high-resistance carborundum anti-slip strips. Easy and quick to apply, WALKTEC strips guarantee adherence and safety when using stairs, even in the presence of wet surfaces, which are often sources of serious accidents. It is recommended to apply 2 strips per step, rounding the ends and possibly using the appropriate primer to ensure better adhesion to the substrate. WALKTEC should only be applied on specular surfaces.
Anti-slip function of WALKTEC strips
The SWH product has R13 certification (non-slip insert). Non-slip properties. DIN 51130 standard (06/2004): slip resistance with footwear.
Installation and maintenance of WALKTEC SWH profiles
1) Before application, clean and degrease the surface, applying primer if necessary. 2) Round the ends of the strips. 3) After removing the protective paper, apply with even pressure (roller). 4) Do not apply at temperatures below 15° and heat the strips and substrate for possible installation at low temperatures. 5) To maintain the non-slip characteristics, brush regularly to keep the surface free of impurities. 6) In the case of installation on smooth tiles, create small rounded strips within each tile. 7) Seal the perimeter edges of the strips to prevent water from penetrating underneath and causing them to detach.
