TRIMTEC TR: multipurpose profiles

Trimtec TR is a complete line of technical profiles made of brass, aluminum, and stainless steel to complete the installation of flooring and coverings of any nature and thickness, accelerating and improving execution. Trimtec TR is supplied in different heights from 2 mm to 30 mm to combine the different thicknesses of the tiles used. The patented dovetail groove also enhances mechanical anchoring on the vertical side, as well as creating a gap for the grout material. Trimtec TR profiles, designed for ceramic coverings, are also used in other types of coverings, such as marble, wood, resin composites, and natural stone. Trimtec TR profiles serve the main function of transitioning between different types of flooring (for example, between ceramic and wood), are used as expansion joints, opposing each other, as terminals for ceramic skirting boards, and as delimiters for mats and areas of any type, thickness, and material, effectively performing the function of protecting the edges of the coverings.

The TRIMTEC TR profiles are also available in the version with a special deformable cutter that allows for curvature: simply add the letter D after the item code.

How to install TRIMTEC TR profiles

1) Choose the profile of the necessary size, corresponding to the thickness of the tile. The profile should not exceed the height of the tile, but should be approximately 0.5 to 1 mm lower. 2) Apply tile adhesive in the area to be tiled. 3) Cut the profile to the required length, reserving space for linear expansion and supporting it with the perforated side on the adhesive. Press and align. 4) Spread a little more adhesive over the perforation and fill the internal cavities of the vertical section (dovetail). 5) Leave a gap of approximately 0.5 to 2 mm between the profile and the edge of the tile to later fill with the same grout used for the joints.
