The name Porphyry comes from ancient Greek and means purple, a color that is frequently found in this type of rock, along with red, brown, and gray. This rock has inspired the Porfirica collection.

Porphyry is a magmatic material that forms from the cooling of lava flows. It has an extremely varied and complex composition, on which a "porphyritic" structure (porfirica in Italian) is created that also includes minerals and crystalline elements.

This particular characteristic is presented in 2 designs: a fine-grained version inspired by the original stone and a coarser-grained aggregate. The stone-effect porcelain stoneware from Coem brings prestige and value to this stone, thanks to three surface finishes: raw, semi-polished, and for outdoor use, with 5 intense colors and two textures that allow for creative compositions in floors and walls.
