The name Porphyry comes from ancient Greek and means purple, a color that is frequently found in this type of rock, along with red, brown, and gray. This rock has inspired the Porfirica collection.

Porphyry is a magmatic material that forms from the cooling of lava flows. It has an extremely varied and complex composition, on which a "porphyritic" structure (porfirica in Italian) is created that also includes minerals and crystalline elements.

This particular characteristic is presented in 2 designs: a fine-grained version inspired by the original stone and a coarser-grained aggregate. The stone-effect porcelain stoneware from Coem brings prestige and value to this stone, thanks to three surface finishes: raw, semi-polished, and for outdoor use, with 5 intense colors and two textures that allow for creative compositions in floors and walls.

Technical Advantages

Being ultra-compact, sintered surfaces, they are designed for applications that were previously unattainable, allowing large-format installations with thin profiles suitable for countertops, bathrooms, interior and exterior cladding, residential or commercial flooring and various furniture applications.

Tiles can be cut, shaped and drilled to suit a variety of uses.

Unmatched Strength

Technological Stone is resistant to stains and chemical attacks, easy to maintain, has high mechanical resistance against bending and wind loads, and is uniform against thermal shocks without compromising its integrity.

It is also lightweight, fire and UV resistant, ensuring that colours and finishes remain flawless over time.

Its durability and scratch resistance make it easy to maintain without requiring extensive maintenance.
